Hey guys!

So Mumz and I have had a bit of a rough weekend. Late Saturday morning Mumz was carrying Boo Boo down stairs when he slipped on the hardwood and fell down 5-6 steps. Mumz hurt his back pretty bad and Boo Boo was screaming, we thought at first that he was just scared because he basically rode Mumz like a sled down the steps...but after about 30 minutes of non stop crying we realized that something must be up. We took him to the hospital for xrays and they said he might have a fractured tibia They arent 100% sure so they put a temporary cast on his leg and told us to take him to an orthopedist on Monday.

Im not sure I can even get him in because this happened Saturday and the orthopedists office was closed all weekend I dont know if they will have any available time to see him, not to mention the foot of snow we are supposed to get....grrrrr.

So as of right now I dont know if I will be able to make it to my cam show monday night. I'll keep it on the schedule for now until I find out more in the morning but I just wanted to let you all know so that if you do see my name suddenly disappear of the list you'll understand why.

Well that tops my bad weekend. I bet Mumz cursed like he was watching a Cubs game. Hope they get well soon. A cam show isn't important when something like that happens.

I hope nothing was damaged permanently and Mumz and BooBoo will be feeling
good very soon.

It ok if your camshow doesn't happen cause right now family comes first over anything but hope all turns out well with Boo Boo and Mumz.

Despite what it appears I hope both guys are not hurt too badly. Don't worry about the show, it's much more important to take care of your family Nikki.

At the same time...going forward, I wonder if it's time to put carpeting on the stairs.

I think I can speak for everyone when I say, we'd rather you make sure Boo-Boo and Mumz are ok then cam. Hope Mumz didnt bruise his ass.

Wow that really sucks to hear especially your son getting hurt pretty bad..I mean my lil nephew opened our screen door and feel down the stairs outside but this was like only three steps...5 or 6 is pretty bad and sorry to hear both your son and husband got hurt. Its good to hear u are doing alright Mumz and hope the lil dude gets better and hear some good news.

Hey guys,

A little update for you:

I did take my show off the schedule for tonight and am trying to figure out when I can do a make up show.

We took Boo Boo to the orthopedist and the Dr said his leg is definitely fractured....which in turn means "broken" They took the temporary cast off and put a full long leg cast on him that he'll have for 30 days. He was a brave boy though and didnt cry at all while they put it on, he even picked out blue plaster for it

Last night we all slept on the couch together to avoid him trying to get up and walking when he woke up so tonight we'll be spending time with him, getting him acclimated to his new cast and setting up his room so he'll be more comfortable at bedtime.

This was quite a shock to us because we had no idea that he even hit his leg or hit it hard enough to break it The dr assured us that this wont effect him later but it's still so sad....

Sorry to hear he fractured the leg but least he picked out a cool color.And no hurry on the reschedule of your camshow Nikki...Main thing for now is Boo Boo cause family is most important thing right now.

Damn I was hoping it wasn't that serious, but from the sound of it he was very brave. Poor lil guy...

This kind of thing is probably more common than you would imagine. A friend of ours was carrying her 3 month old girl down the stairs and she fell backwards, and one of the baby's legs ended up broken too. It happens, but the little girl was fine and it didn't affect her at all as she grew.

Thanks for your earlier update too Mumz, I'm glad to hear that you are ok and only bruised and sore, which hopefully won't last long.

You shouldn't concern Yourself about a "reschedule" at a time like this.....there is no rule about having to make up a show, take the week off, know that we all understand .....

Hope Boo Boo recovers quickly, which I'm sure He will!
