I've always been wanting to ask this, but never did in the past. I hope you don't get mad at me about making a suggestion on here. I wished if you were a member of one of the the babe network websites that you could access past webcam shows from other models within the babe network that you might have missed because of your work schedule,etc.

I know that since I'm a member of one of the websites within the babe network you can see the live webcam shows of each model within the network, so is there a way to archive them for people that might not have been able to attend them to watch at a later time or is it too much trouble? Just curious. I'm sure there would be extra costs involved from all parties involved, but if it was something like an extra $5 a month to be able to offer this feature I would definitely be interested in paying that. Just a thought.

I've had the same thought before. Or at least a faster way of getting the shows archived to each model's site. Getting all the webmasters & models to agree to it, and keeping it secure would probably be big obstacles though.

We ( Doug James and I ) have talked about this in the past and it would take all of the webmasters on board to comply with, which is the hard part.

I try to have all my models camshows archived onto their site within an hour of completion of the show. In order for us to run a pay site that is full of archives shows, which would be extremely sweet, I would think that ALL archived shows should be on the babechat site within a day of completion of the show.

To me thats not a big deal, but for other webmasters, who take weeks or even months to put up a camshow archive, is something that we do not want to be held responsible for.

We're working on a new system, which will hopefully allow for that in the future, but for the time being, I think that you will have to be a member of that site in order to get the camshow archives.

The webcam shows are part of the content of a models site. The other parts would be the webcam archive, chat log and cam caps, pic sets of that model, candid pic sets, model videos, journals, upcoming previews, and content of other models who are on the primary model's site.

So if just the webcam archive were made available for all the models on Babechat I assume some kind of add on option with a fee would cover it. But if someone was just into webcams and wasn't interested in the other content on a model's site they would get a deal and business might be lost because that person would only have to carry one membership to one models site.

The option would benefit a lot of people who don't get to see other models shows due to work and sleep schedules. But a big part of the fun of webcams is interaction which is lost in an archive.

I don't know if a small enough add on fee could be calculated to offset the possible loss of memberships.

One of the biggest stumbling blocks to an archive site with all the past shows, is that like Mumz said, all the webbies would have to be on board with it, and copyrights/fear of unauthorized usage is huge.

Many webbies feel, why on earth would I give away my content for free? Sure, we could create a pay site with all this back content with the approval of all webbies on board (not easy as I said) but even then... how would the webbies/girls make money from this? Splitting the membership fees would quickly become something that is a monster headache not only in amounts but also in cutting checks etc, the taxes behind it etc as well.

Imagine 100 people per month sign up for this site, that's basically 3 or so a day. Let's pretend the site goes for $19.95. There is little chance this site could just be included for free as a babe chat add on, because there is no incentive there for the girls, or the webmasters included... and this is a job, like any other job right?

Getting back to the example.. so let's say you have 19.95 x 100.. we'll round up to 2000 for ease of numbers. Credit card company takes their cut, server/bandwidth takes it's cut and before you know it, you're at around 1500 range left over. Now take a look at how many girls there are in the network, and divide that into 1500 and you'll quickly see that it's just not financially viable unfortunately. If a girl's site is barely making $100 a month from this, and that goes to her and then webbie getting shows ready, uploaded etc.... he'd want something for his work, so sadly...it just wouldn't work out.

Not to mention that by doing this, they take one of the added value points away from their own website. Most sites store archives of past shows, but if you no longer need to sign up for girl A's site, you can just sign up here instead... the girl loses even more.

So when we take all of this into account, you can see why it's a very difficult undertaking. I know some people would argue that... but you'll make more in time or whatever, and perhaps it would balance out over time, but good business decisions are generally not made on if's or but's, or even maybe's. If it's going to work, everyone has to be on board and with the amount of work needed for the amount of pay that would come out of it, not to mention copyright issues etc... sigh.

I wish it were possible Jeffery, but people will just have to sign up for their favorite girls as they have in the past.

I am obviously not a site admin or anything, so I don't know what my opinion is worth here, but I can tell you that if I were, I would be against this idea.

Members of BabeChat-affiliated sites are already very fortunate to have so many live feeds of other models available for free as bonus content. This is not content which is included with your membership; it's extra content which is already given to you by the other sites' owners. As such, if you are otherwise occupied and you miss out on the availability of this extra content while it is offered... tough titties. They're not legally obligated to make this extra content available to you; if you want to see it that badly, it should be an incentive for you to sign up for their site.

Plus, as James says, the addition of more and more bonus content eventually stops bringing in more money, and begins to be detrimental to the financial operation of the individual sites. There's only so much you can (and should) give away in order to try to drum up business.

That's an excellent point. The first time I went to BabeChat I was pleasantly surprised to see that I could view and be a part of other models camshows. It was something I didn't expect, and it's like a bonus. It gives good exposure for all the models, but a bonus like that for paying members has to stop somewhere.
